Shirley "Shirleybelle" Corrigan considers herself priviliged to have enjoyed a full international acting career, having studied and performed with some of the greatest film and theatre talents of the highest acclaim.

On the stage from the early age of nine, Shirley has danced and sung in various musicals. After classical training and some repertory, she was soon to be chosen to perform with The Marlowes of Cambridge University in the UK, followed by a contract with the British Council to perform in
Three Sisters by Anton Chekhov, as well as The Sound of Music throughout Europe.

The great Italian theatre director Georgo Strehier requested Shirley to play a character in his revised
Threepenny Opera at the Piccolo Theatre in Milan. She then turned to pscychodrama in Brazil and worked and studied alongside Augusto Boal, founder of Psycho Drama, in The Theatre of the Oppressed.

She took
The Theatre of the Oppressed to Calcutta where she spent 5 years studying the condition of cerebral palsy, working closely alongside Mother Teresa, Mc. It was Mother Teresa who informed Shirley that she should work with children for the rest of her life, and to continue her acting career.

Living in Rome during the 1970s gave her the opportunity to encounter the créme of the Italian
inteligencia including many legendary artistic figures such as Maestro Federico Fellini, Count Luchino Visconti, Pier Paolo Pasolini, Alberto Moravia, Dacia Maraini and Franco Zeffirelli. It was Franco Zeffirelli who recommended Shirlybelle to the New York Actor's Studio for master class with Steve McQueen and Bette Midler. At this time, Shirleybelle had he great honour to audition for the play Filumena Marturano with Sir Laurence Olivier and Joan Plowright.

Shirleybelle was chosen to work alongside HRH. Princess Grace, amongst other things Princess Grace's many charities.

Shirleybelle is currently preparing children for prep school as suggested by Blessed Mother Teresa mc.
